About

Founder-led. Honest about where we are.

FinVeil is payment orchestration and transaction infrastructure for businesses that move money. Paystack is verified end to end in test mode; Yoco and PayFast run against sandbox credentials; Ozow and Stitch (PayShap, RTC) adapters are built but not yet connected. Every settled transaction gets a SHA-256 proof receipt. FinVeil is pre-revenue and has not processed live customer volume yet.

What FinVeil is built on

Payments & compliance

Paystack verified end to end in test mode. Yoco and PayFast integrations run against sandbox credentials. Ozow and Stitch adapters are built but not yet connected.

Enterprise software

Spring Boot 4 on Java 25, PostgreSQL, and Next.js. Built by a founder with over a decade of enterprise Java experience.

Settlement orchestration

A routing engine scores eligible providers and rails, selects one, and records the decision and its fallback order. Failover runs in test mode only; automatic live failover is on the roadmap.

Developer experience

OpenAPI spec, API reference and signed outbound webhooks. SDKs are available on request; none is published to a package registry yet.

The company behind FinVeil

FinVeil is a product of FinVeil (Pty) Ltd (CIPC 2026/540392/07), a South African financial technology company focused on infrastructure that makes every transaction legible, verifiable, and routable.

Our approach

We would rather show you the product than pitch it. The API reference is public, and you can sign up for a test-mode account yourself. We say plainly what is live, what runs in test mode and what is still on the roadmap.

Advisory network

We are building a formal advisory board and welcome introductions from people with payments, payroll and South African regulatory experience.

Our values

Operator neutrality

We do not compete with our customers. FinVeil does not underwrite or issue cards. Split payments settle at source to each party’s Paystack subaccount; other collections settle into FinVeil’s Paystack merchant balance.

Auditability by default

Every settled transaction gets a SHA-256 proof receipt. Every routing decision is recorded. Outbound webhooks are HMAC-signed.

Developer-first

API-native and docs-first. New accounts start in test mode. No sales gate to read the reference.

Our vision

FinVeil started in South Africa because that is where the pain is loudest — fragmented rails, opaque settlement, manual reconciliation, and a long tail of businesses still stitching together Ozow + Paystack + PayFast + Yoco with spreadsheets. But payment friction is not a South African problem. It is a global one.

The UK is standardising on Faster Payments, Open Banking pay-by-bank, and instant push-to-card as first-class rails. Nigeria is coordinating NGN payouts, Paystack disbursements and CBN settlement across a rapidly maturing instant-payment stack. Kenya runs on M-Pesa and PesaLink with bank-rails layered on top. We believe every business, in every market, deserves one API that routes across local rails, and a consistent receipt for every transaction.

So FinVeil is designed to travel to other markets over time. We will always do our deepest, best-tuned work in South Africa. And we will never pretend a SA-shaped product can be dropped unmodified into Lagos, Nairobi or London.
